The wait is over – the Pedal Kart Grand Prix is back!
The last event, held in 2019, was nothing short of a roaring success, drawing crowds of enthusiastic participants and spectators to Torre Abbey Meadows. Originally launched by the Round Table over 42 years ago, the event quickly became a much-anticipated highlight of the local calendar.
In 2009, the Sunrise Rotary Club proudly took over its organisation, ensuring that the tradition continued to bring the community together year after year.
Throughout its long and vibrant history, one name has been ever-present, Stephen Holdup, whose dedication and involvement since the very beginning have helped shape the event into the beloved community celebration it is today. For more than four decades, this family-friendly race has captured the hearts of residents and visitors alike, offering a unique blend of fun, fitness, and local spirit.
Now, after a very successful return in 2027, the event is set to make a long-awaited and exciting return back home to its original grounds of Torre Abbey, thanks to the vision and enthusiasm of “Q” from Q-Ball Media Ltd. With a fresh new look and a renewed sense of energy, this iconic Torbay tradition is ready to embark on its next chapter
